The museum sits on five acres along the riverfront on property that once belonged to the Dubuque Boat and Boiler Works. It is part of the America's River Project and includes a river walk and conference center. The museum boasts exhibits on Lewis and Clark, Robert Fulton, Mark Twain, and Louis Armstrong.

Naturally Durable™ supplied that FSC® certified ipé decking used in the project and the Naturally Durable™, non-toxic pilings used to support the boardwalks and docks. We are happy to be part of the revitalization of the Mississippi River waterfront using non-toxic wood products from FSC® certified well-managed forests.
